As a freshman, Tut will be looked upon to fill a big role on the outside, but she is far from new to the position. She gained valuable varsity experience there last season, racking up kills and proving she can contribute at a high level. Tut has impressive hops, an array of shots to choose from, and already understands when and how to use them. She will be a big part of her team’s offense this season, and with several years still ahead of her, she has plenty of time to continue developing and expanding her game.

Tut is an outside hitter that I had the privilege to watch at a recent tournament in Rochester. While I knew she was young, I didn’t realize at the time that she was only in 8^th grade as she certainly doesn’t play like it.  Tut currently averages about 1.3 kills/set contributing to the offense on a successful team that is over .500 on the season. While Tut may be young, she already has a “toolbox” full of shots. She will hit the cross shot, will roll, and will also tip to open spots on the court to generate kills or get teams out of system.
