Walsh was one of the players I was looking forward to seeing at the showcase. Being Austin’s first ever All State volleyball player, I knew she had put in a lot of work to get where she is. Once play started, it was easy to see why. She is solid in serve receive, moves well defensively, and does a great job covering her hitters. What impressed me most was how well she read the game. She seemed to know where the ball was going before it got there, which allowed her to get herself in position to make some really nice defensive plays. She does many of the little things well and that is what makes her such a valuable player on the court.
