Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Our Nebraska Elite Classic preview mentioned one all-GJNC honoree, so let’s bring up another one. Hoff is back in action as South Central NE 16 Black’s leading distributor and all-around “glue” player. She guided last year’s small-town crew to the USAV Nationals podium and put up monster sophomore stats for Aurora High School. Hoff’s smooth touches set up her terminal teammates at Sunday’s event. These regional venues are the buildup to a high-stakes trip to April’s Show Me Qualifier, where South Central NE will look to repeat history.

You knew South Central NE would be somewhere in this conversation. Last year’s South Central NE 15 Black crew made waves on club volleyball’s biggest stages, and Hoff engineered the triumph at the setter position. This dynamic setter is fresh off an outstanding sophomore tenure at Aurora, averaging 9.4 assists per set en route to the school’s best season in years. Hoff will reestablish her connections with a star-studded 16 Black cast, and this spring’s Show Me Qualifier will be in the crosshairs yet again.

What a year for Hoff. We got an up-close look at this Aurora High School star when she competed at last year’s Prep Dig Freshman Showcase, but that was just the beginning of her ascent. She suited up with this year’s South Central NE 15 Black and led her small-town squad to the GJNC podium. That performance garnered Hoff all-tournament honors, and she’s due for more accolades on the prep side. She has accumulated 9.1 assists per set during Aurora’s ongoing renaissance at the Class B level. This is just the beginning.

We were thrilled to see the South Central NE representation at last year’s showcases, but these small-town athletes have reached a new level in 2025. Hoff helped guide the 15 Black lineup to a runner-up finish at the Show Me Qualifier, securing a spot at this summer’s USAV Nationals. This Aurora standout made an impressive freshman debut at the setter spot and also has some attacking range in her repertoire. Hoff’s ascent will continue in Dallas.

Add another small-town impact player to the list. Hoff took the reins of Aurora’s offense in her first season and racked up 7.4 assists per set for the Huskies. Her balanced distribution offered a big boost to the Aurora offense, and Hoff will continue to progress as she gains more experience. More of that valuable experience was gained on the Prep Dig Circuit, where Hoff demonstrated strong connections with her hitters in team drills.

Hoff is one of many South Central NE standouts who has already carved out a starting role on the prep side. She wears many hats for Aurora as a dynamic setter-opposite hybrid. Hoff is a right-side attacker in the front row and also puts out five assists per set from the back. Her readiness for the high school stage was evident when she competed at this summer’s Nebraska Freshman Showcase. Now, we’re looking for Aurora to make incremental gains with various young stars joining the Huskies.
