About Paisley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is aggressive, energetic, and team-first. As a 5’9” right side, I bring a strong offensive presence, but I also love playing DS and have been really focused on developing my defensive skills. I’m a go-getter who hustles for every ball, stays positive, and is always looking for ways to improve. I’m very coachable, love learning, and take pride in being a versatile player.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my mentality as strong, focused, and team-driven. I’m headstrong in a positive way, with a big heart for the game and my teammates. I stay locked in during play, always giving my full effort, while also being supportive and encouraging on and off the court. I take pride in being a good sport, staying positive regardless of the outcome, and always representing my team with respect.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of Torch Volleyball Club, where I play on an 18s team. I am also involved in track and field, which helps build my strength, speed, and overall athleticism. Outside of sports, I have been in choir for the past four years, and I enjoy giving back to my community by volunteering with local non-profits such as the Kern County Law Enforcement Foundation.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball and track, I have developed strong leadership, teamwork, and discipline. Playing up in age has pushed me to communicate well, stay accountable, and support my teammates at a high level. I’ve also learned the importance of consistency, hard work, and staying positive under pressure. Outside of sports, choir and community service have helped me build confidence, give back,

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I faced challenges with a learning disability that affected my reading, writing, and comprehension, including reversing letters. It made learning very difficult at times, but I stayed determined and kept pushing myself to improve. Over time, I worked through those challenges, and now as a freshman I am in GATE ELA. That experience taught me resilience, patience, and that with hard work and persist

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that is competitive and pushes me to grow both academically and athletically. I want to be part of a strong team culture where I can contribute, continue developing my skills, and be surrounded by teammates and coaches who are motivated and supportive. I also value a school that challenges me in the classroom and helps prepare me for my future.
