Sarah Pringle has come a long way from a freshman year defined by nerves around older, more experienced teammates. Playing DS/L for Frontier, she’s built real poise in her skill set over the past year, and she now considers her voice one of her biggest assets, staying calm and collected in stressful moments so her teammates can find that same steadiness. She started at a new club this season and is optimistic about what a higher level of competition will mean for her recruiting process. If she could change one thing, she says it would be fighting harder to play libero instead of outside hitter and pushing her teammates harder toward the next level.

Sarah is already making her presence felt and the SoCal Showcase gave evaluators outside of the Central Valley a chance to see what that production looks like in a new environment. At 5’6″ she brings above-average height to the back row position and uses that length to intercept attacks at angles that shorter defenders typically absorb low rather than handle cleanly. Her reads were sharp throughout the day and she was consistently in good position before the hitter made contact rather than scrambling after the fact. Our scouts evaluating the showcase noted her steadiness under pressure and the composure she maintained when the sets on the other side of the net came at a very fast tempo. She is a player the SoCal recruiting community should be paying attention to heading into her sophomore season. You can tell from the way she plays that she is not afraid of anyone.

Her confidence fuels her performance, and her energy helps raise the level of everyone around her. She’s currently focused on communication, an essential step in becoming a go-to six-rotation player.

Although she hasn’t been playing long, Sarah is all-in, devoting herself to the sport through private lessons, gym sessions, and team training. Her favorite memories involve shared laughs with teammates, and she’s aiming to make varsity while building friendships that last beyond high school.
