Ensign has terrific hands, she can set her feet and push the bill anywhere she needs to on the court. In Yakima her lefty serve was dancing on defenders and she had a high rate of knocking teams out of system on her service runs. Curtis has a wonderful set of attackers for Ensign to find, and 2025 OH Arianna Medchill Arianna Medchill 5'10" | OH Curtis | 2025 State WA stayed busy terminating with her smooth swing off tempo sets in the Viking offense. Ensign flashed her buttery smooth hands and excellent location during the Showcase and the tournament for her Dakine squad. The Curtis High School sophomore has always had an excellent location, she has increased her ability to stretch the court pin to pin with a faster tempo ball. She was willing to find her middles even when a pass took her off the net and ran the “3” in the seam to her attackers effectively. The skilled lefty can swing on a tight set, and it’s usually a terminal ball when she does.

Ensign is the floor general as the setter for her Dakine Warriors 16 Surf team. She has displayed great chemistry with her middles, setting a variety of routes including the slide from the 5-1. The left handed Ensign is a scoring threat on her own, with a quick arm and solid athleticism when she attacks at the net. Dakine will be a difficult match up for anyone in the 16 USA Division.

It’s very difficult to fool or catch Ensign out of position defensively. She posted games of 24 and 20 digs from the setter spot this season. She recognizes where hitters are going and is strong and quick when playing up shots and tips. She can score, with good size and a strong left hand she uses to jam down balls that are tight to the net. That athleticism and ability to score hold the blockers and let her dish to hitters that attack one on one.
