We’re ready for some serious parity in the Lincoln prep volleyball race. Svendsen is poised for a big senior year at Lincoln Southeast after finishing the club season strong with VCN 17 Elite. She showed the full skillset needed to play the ‘M1’ role, including a wicked serve in her backcourt rotation. Svendsen is playing her most explosive volleyball at the right time and will surely back that up on the high school stage.

Svendsen has found new ways to lead the charge for VCNebraska 16 Elite. She has mostly been known for her high-impact game at middle blocker, where Svendsen is a go-to in-system attacker. Though this could be seen as her native position, Svendsen also had stints at both pin positions throughout the 2024 season. The mid-March qualifier grind showed us that Svendsen is not just a single-position standout. We’re anxious to see which combinations VCNebraska will deploy as GJNC inches closer.

VCNebraska 16 Elite will get multiple mentions on this one. Svendsen is a multi-year standout for this group who has oscillated between middle blocker and outside hitter. Regardless of position, this is a setter’s best friend with a huge attacking window. Slower sets are an ideal way to wield Svendsen’s long reach, and we watched that materialize during last weekend’s Northern Lights Qualifier.

Lincoln Southeast is stockpiling some impressive talent in the frontcourt. Svendsen is fresh off a stellar club season with VCN and has brought that same energy to the Knights. She’s hitting nearly 0.300 in LSE’s first few matches and compiled 2.5 kills per set from the middle. Young talent is building Southeast’s strong foundation, so we’re just starting to see players like Svendsen emerge in the spotlight.
