There’s a lot of credit to go around for VCNebraska 17 Black’s extraordinary 2025 season. Becker has been an unsung hero at the middle blocker spot and brings a technically sound game at the net. She is especially comfortable with attacking on ‘gap’ sets that have become a staple of VCN offenses. 17 Black’s defense also gets an upgrade with Becker on the court, as she makes quick, decisive reads on opposing setters. Perhaps we’ll see Becker and her team back in Gold contention at another prominent event.

Lincoln’s high school scene needs some representation here. Luckily, Becker has revealed her readiness to take the reins at Lincoln Pius X. The Thunderbolts will enter the Class B field this year, but there’s plenty of continuity in the lineup, too. Becker’s elevation made her a constant force at VCNebraska and a top performer on the Prep Dig Circuit. Her rankings boost was overdue.

Once again, we’re starting with a middle blocker that traveled from the Star City to join our La Vista showcase. Becker had several breakout performances at AAU Nationals, where she helped VCNebraska 16 Black secure a strong finish. She showed even more growth at last weekend’s event and was a game-changing attacker in team drills. Look for Becker to be a high-impact player as Lincoln Pius X pursues back-to-back tournament appearances.

Let’s check in with the Lincoln scene. Becker’s breakout 2024 season with VCNebraska 16 Black has been a joy to watch. She’s the ideal M1 who has become accustomed to terminating against more than one blocker. This Lincoln Pius X standout has a knack for carving inside opposing hands and denting the floor with her hard-angle shots. Being the M1 also always Becker to spread the offense on the slide. Last month’s Show Me Qualifier was a perfect venue for Becker to display her prowess against top-tier competition.

VCNebraska 16 Black pops up again. Becker is a long, fluid athlete with an incredibly high ceiling at the middle blocker position. She makes quick cuts when running her routes, giving Becker a ton of open space to attack. 16 Black now has a lethal slide hitter who can give the team so many important sideouts in two-hitter rotations. That should be the catalyst for future qualifier success, especially after Becker and 16 Black soared to a runner-up finish at the ASICS Presidents’ Day Classic.
