At the upcoming PNQ, Rania is excited to demonstrate her quickness on the court. Her ability to get to the ball fast, combined with her teammates’ excellent footwork, allows them to connect at a high tempo. They dedicate a lot of time in practice reviewing film to ensure they’re always on the same page.

As a setter, Rania thrives on the opportunity to control the game. She takes pride in being able to create energy on the court, firing up her team and shifting the momentum in a positive direction. For Rania, being a setter is more than just playing a position, it’s about fostering a strong bond with her teammates. Off the court, they’re best friends, often spending time together at lunch, hanging out on the weekends, and even working out as a group.

Rania has developed a strong focus on strength training and nutrition to enhance her performance on the court. In addition to her club volleyball practices, she works with a trainer to build muscle, improve her vertical jump, and become a stronger defender. It’s incredibly rewarding for her to see the results of her hard work paying off.

Rania has a keen interest in sports broadcasting and has already dipped her toes into the field. For one of her volunteer projects, she took stats at a Marin Catholic Men’s Varsity game. But instead of just tracking the game, she asked if she could commentate and was given the opportunity!
