Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Booth has been there since the beginning. When Elkhorn North opened its doors a few years ago, Booth quickly took the spotlight as a fast-twitch, gun-slinging setter. Not much has changed in that regard. We were treated to one final exhibition of Booth’s leadership during the 2023 tournament before she departs for Northern Iowa at the collegiate level.

Booth’s first week of action becomes much more impressive when you consider the gauntlet that Elkhorn North has already faced. The UNI commit averaged ten assists per set while battling against top-tier Class A teams at the Bellevue West Invitational. No matter the venue, Booth is skilled enough to direct an efficient Wolves offense.

Booth’s setting was a primary catalyst for Elkhorn North’s rise to the Class B state championship match last year. She averaged over ten assists per set and was equally effective as a floor defender in her backcourt rotations. The Northern Iowa will have a big say in the Wolves keeping up their high standards this fall.

Booth might have some unfinished business at Elkhorn North. After coming up just short of a state championship last fall, the UNI commit returned to Premier Nebraska and helped the 17s clinch another Open bid. Tough injury luck and lineup shuffles were a big storyline for 17 Gold, but Booth stayed steady throughout. Her last season with the Wolves should be one to remember.

Another D1-bound setter is making moves this year. Booth has put her adaptability on display by competing with a new club team this year and keeping up her same standard of excellence. The UNI commit stayed down with the 17s after regularly playing up throughout her career, and the move has regularly paid dividends. Another appearance at Nationals is on the way for Booth and her team.
