About Reese

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style to be adaptable and scrappy. I am ready to move and pick up tips over the block and in the middle of the court, but also to dig the hard cross and line shots. I am able to read the hitters and move around my base defense based off of where they are putting the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a great teammate, I want the best for them so I push them to be better while also being their biggest cheerleaders. I always put in my best effort and try to make every play I can. I am hardworking and try to always have the mentality that every single ball is mine.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am very active in my school's young life program and enjoy that a lot. I also participate in two clubs called Interact and the Giving Project, they both focus on giving back to the community which helps my service hour count. I also participate in my school's sports coverage, we make graphics for all sports, do live tweeting and updates and recaps, I do graphics for Orange Volleyball's socials.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I think I have developed a lot of leadership and personality on the court over the past couple of years. Off the court I am not the loudest person, however on the court I over communicate and stay loud, I also have developed leadership qualities on my team and carry the momentum often.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I think the biggest challenges that I've faced is overcoming my height and sticking out in other places. I have always been the shortest on my team but I work hard to excel in other areas including athleticism, speed, and vertical.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will push me to be my best athletically and academically. I would like to go to a school that I know I will be challenged at, on and off the court, I thrive off of intensity and competition. I also want to major in pre-med so I would like to have a school and program that honors that while also letting me focus on volleyball.

She tracks well to get the ball on her midline while also able to create good range and extension when she shuffles to face and angle left or right. Defensively, she has good quickness in her reactions and pursuit.
