Rylie Butler Rylie Butler L TX has 584 kills and is averaging 5.5 per set as a senior. She has topped last year’s total by more than 150 with the playoffs still ahead. The six foot outside opened the fall with a 21 kill night against Ponder and later added 17 kills and 15 digs against Rice. She is long and gets up quickly off of the ground and she hits with a lot of wrist snap that adds so much pop into the ball. When the set is tight to the net she can go over the block or tool it off the hands. Big matches do not seem to rattle her. She was on the floor for Grandview’s 2024 state semifinal run as a sophomore and helped sweep Troy in last year’s 3A regional final. Her kill total has gone up every single season. What makes her an easy fit at the next level is that she stays in all six rotations to pass and play defense. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.
