About Sabrina
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a six-rotation outside hitter who impacts the game in both the front and back row. I take pride in my volleyball IQ, ball control, and consistency, and I focus on making smart plays that help my team win points. I’m a reliable option in serve receive and transition, and I can score in-system from the pin and apply pressure with a fast, well-timed pipe attack.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I bring a competitive, relentless mindset to the court and take pride in my work ethic. I embrace the grind, stay disciplined in my training, and use adversity as motivation. I’m mentally tough, coachable, and focused on improving every day, especially in pressure moments. I truly believe in shrinking the field during practice to outperform even my own expectations when it matters.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I'm dedicated to getting better every day and competing in volleyball at a high level. Academically, I am a member of the National Junior Honor Society and strive for excellence. I’m also involved in various community service activities, which have helped shape my discipline, accountability, and commitment to giving back while balancing academics and athletics.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through volleyball and academics, I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and accountability. I communicate well on the court, cheer and support my teammates when out, and lead by example through preparation, grit, and effort, treating every rep like if Nationals depended on it. Community service has also strengthened my sense of responsibility and perspective beyond athletics.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I began playing volleyball later than many athletes, which challenged me to learn quickly and close the gap. Through extra training, focused skill work, and dedicated plyometrics, I accelerated my development and earned a spot on OTVA’s top team for my age. That process taught me discipline, resilience, and how to turn challenges into strengths, learning to love the grind.
What type of college are you looking for?
Understanding I'm a bit early for this, but fixated on taking my volleyball career as far as possible, I’m looking for a college that takes academics seriously while competing at a high level in volleyball. I want to be in a program that values work ethic, toughness, and all-around players who compete every point, contribute in multiple phases, and bring energy and accountability to the team.
