For Sanai, the inaugural Vegas For Athletes Summer Games was about more than the final score. Competing alongside fellow athletes in a positive environment and finishing the tournament with a statement win made the week especially memorable.

What was your favorite part of being part of the inaugural Vegas For Athletes Summer Games, and why?

“My favorite part of the Vegas For Athletes Summer Games was being around a healthy community of athletes and competing for something more than just wins and losses. Competing and doing what I love most is always a fun experience, and this event made it even more meaningful.”

Is there a match or moment you’ll remember for a long time?

“Our final match against Nectr is one I’ll always remember. After losing to them the day before, we came into the match with confidence and grit, and it led us to an exciting victory.”

Would you participate again next season?

“Yes, I would most definitely participate next season!”

For Sanai, Juneteenth represents perseverance, equality, and recognizing the sacrifices that made today’s opportunities possible.

She believes the holiday serves as a reminder that talent should matter more than race and honors the athletes who broke barriers for future generations. Sanai draws inspiration from Jordan Thompson, admiring her journey to becoming an Olympic gold medalist despite the challenges she faced along the way.

Sanai is focused on developing as a player, embracing coaching, and earning the opportunity to continue competing at the collegiate level.

Sanai continues to be a key offensive threat for her varsity squad. With 91 kills, 90 digs, and 39 aces, she finds ways to contribute in every rotation. She swings confidently around the block, transitions smoothly from serve receive to attack, and often finishes plays with power. #18 OH, Sanai Murphy Sanai Murphy 5'6" | OH Somerset Sky Pointe | 2028 State NV brings very aggressive approaches and drops bombs at every opportunity. Specific attacks to every zone of the court are what Sanai does consistently, but her specialty… zone #1! She brings knee dropping power in her arm swing and a very advanced understanding of finding the open spots on the court. Sanai made a huge impression on scouts at the Top 250 Expo, executing powerful swings that were tough to defend. She can hit cross, line, and anywhere in between, showcasing her high volleyball IQ and ability to mix up her attacks on the fly.
