About Sara

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

My biggest strength as a player are my versatility and defensive skills. As a libero on my high school team and a setter on my club team, I have developed the ability to excel in multiple positions. I am confident and comfortable with playing whichever role the team needs to succeed.

What are you working to improve right now?

I am always working to become a more vocal leader, both on and off the court. While I continuously strive to improve my skills as a DS/L, I also focus on developing as a leader. I aim to be open-minded, encourage my teammates to push themselves, and create a positive, supportive environment where everyone can succeed.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I am looking for a college program that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I hope to find a school with strong health sciences programs that will prepare me to pursue a career in medicine or dentistry through a pre-med or pre-dentistry pathway.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

Outside of just volleyball, I enjoy staying active and challenging myself through fitness. I especially enjoy CrossFit because it allows me to build my strength, develop discipline, and connect with new people. I am also an identical twin, and my sister and I love spending time together—whether we're studying or going to the mall.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

In the future, I hope to pursue a career in the healthcare field. I am especially interested in oral medicine and am considering becoming a dentist, physician assistant, or physical therapist. I look forward to finding a career where I can make an positive impact on health and the well-being of others.
