About Serenity

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As an 8th-grade volleyball player with four years of experience at the school level and three years at the club level, my playing style is aggressive and well-rounded. I concentrate on maintaining strong fundamentals, whether I'm serving, passing, or hitting. I pride myself on my ability to read the game, which helps me anticipate plays and make quick decisions on the court that benefit the team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I strive to be supportive and encouraging toward my teammates, fostering unity and collaboration on the court. I face challenges with resilience, viewing setbacks as opportunities for growth rather than failures. Overall, I aim to maintain a balanced mindset that combines focus and enjoyment of the game, enabling me to thrive in individual and team situations.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently playing club at Elizabethtown Volleyball Academy.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have taken on leadership roles during practices and games, motivating my teammates and guiding newer players while leading by example with my work ethic and positive attitude. I communicate effectively with my teammates, value collaboration, and always support others to achieve our goals. Facing challenges has taught me resilience, helping me maintain focus and determination. I also volunteer.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've faced challenges in navigating team dynamics. Conflicts can sometimes arise, but I’ve learned how to communicate openly and work collaboratively to resolve issues. These experiences have strengthened my problem-solving skills and helped me grow as a player and a teammate.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am searching for a college that provides a strong volleyball program, where I can continue to enhance my skills and compete at a higher level. Ideally, the college would feature a supportive coaching staff that prioritizes both athletic and academic success.
