PD Kentucky Showcase: What Pins Are We Watching?

Hope to see you there!</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm making a journey to Wilder, Kentucky for the PrepDig Kentucky Showcase on Saturday, July 18, and I've taken the liberty of breaking down what positions will be arriving and showing out. Since my personal knowledge of the Kentucky kids is limited, there are plenty of (new to me) athletes that deserve coverage. I realize a lot of coaches might place Miss Carman in the middle because of her long arms and high reach, but she's more natural of an attacker from the right side of the court (and by extension, the left side as well). She defends her position well, and can take the first ball on defense as well as set a pin block with ease. Her upper body strength, combined with good court vision and a solid work ethic, makes her one of the more likeable pin attackers I'll see on Saturday. Solid in all parts of her game, Miss Baron is a six-rotation outside hitting stud that can be anything she wants to be, from O1 to libero and anything inbetween. With pace, strength and every shot in the book at her beck and call, she's got a legit shot to be one of the top attackers at the showcase this Saturday. Size isn't her only weapon, but it does help—-her block is long and penetrated, her attack touch is higher than a lot in this class, and her volleyball IQ at that size means she can stay within herself when playing. Of the kids I'm watching, Addi is one of those that's earned an extended look from me.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
