We won’t soon forget the relentless, match-altering serving runs that Faalii assembled this year. Lincoln East frequently surged this fall behind Faalii’s flat, driving serve that was rarely passed right to the net. This tough knuckleball was on full display during the Spartans’ back-and-forth battle with Lincoln Southwest for the HAC titles. Once again, it was a senior taking charge with dominant serving.

Faalii’s meteoric development was a huge factor in getting Lincoln East to back-to-back state tournaments. We knew about the senior’s knack for killing balls on the left side, but late-season matches also revealed other ways Faalii can transform matches. Her lethal serve yielded Lincoln East’s best individual ace total and gave opposing teams fits all year. That’s an impact player.

Faalii’s ascent to prominence has been well documented. She thrived alongside Topolski last fall as Lincoln East made its postseason push. Before that, she made a huge splash in the 2022 club season as Premier 16 Black punched a ticket to Nationals. This all-around standout is back with 17 Black and has not been afraid to mix things up on the right pin this year. Faalii’s toolbox just keeps expanding.

Faalii just keeps performing at a high level. Her stock rose considerably last fall with Lincoln East, and now she’s showing a bit of her flexibility in the Premier 17 Black lineup. She’s primarily a left-side hitter, but we also saw some of Faalii’s assertive swings on the right side last weekend.
