About Rachel

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I strive to be the best all-around player possible. My goal is to eventually become a 6-rotation player, but I am a team player first and play where I'm most needed. I am calm under pressure, dependable on the court, very competitive, and love supporting my teammates and coaches.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I was a soccer player for 8 years. I developed my athleticism and a strong mindset on the pitch. I decided to follow my older sister and play volleyball. I was hooked, and after just 1 year of playing, I joined the 14-1s team at Actyve Volleyball. My sister and her work ethic are my inspirations.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been awarded Student of the Month at my middle school. I don't play club soccer anymore, but I still love playing at school, as well as singing and performing in musicals (our latest production was Beauty and the Beast).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been awarded the Coaches Award for both my volleyball club and 8th grade volleyball teams for being a leader on the court, having discipline, and a positive attitude. I am also going to Mexico this December 2024 to serve at an orphanage.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have grown up with ADHD and dyslexia for most of my childhood, but that's why I love sports so much and it is where I thrive best being able to be active. I am a stronger, better person for it.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to play at a big D1 athletic college someday.

At 5’11”, she has the physicality to excel on the right side, where her fast arm swing and powerful attacks make her a consistent offensive threat. Rachel’s serve receive is impressive, as she remains composed and frames her passes well, allowing her setters to run an effective offense. What really stands out about Rachel is her ability to make quick decisions and process the game at a higher level than most players her age.
