Elliott’s strong presence in the middle helped AVA TX 16 Adidas dominate the division with three wins. A very athletic and active player at the net, she made a major impact, controlling the actions on both sides of the game. Elliott’s blocking was a huge asset for her team as she not only got several stuffs but was also able to put pressure on opposing hitters, making them hesitate up at the net and altering their shots. She was also solid offensively, despite not being set so often.

A new face with AVA TX 16 Adidas this season, Elliott helped the team dominate the division, finishing first with three victories. Her physicality was huge for her team at the net, especially on the defensive side of the game. Elliott was extremely active with her blocking, covering the net from pin to pin and working very aggressively above it with her long arms to take up space from opposing hitters. The middle also handled overpasses extremely well and seems to be starting to click offensively with her new setters.

Elliott is with a new club this season and will play with AVA TX 16 Adidas in the 16 Open division. She’s got a couple of solid high school seasons under her belt, being a starter in a strong Tompkins side. Elliott is very physical and extremely efficient on both sides of the ball. Her blocking has been stellar since she first emerged and continued to get better as she learned new ways to use her length to put pressure on opponents. She also displayed great progress with her offense, finding ways to beat blockers and finding sharp angles to put the ball down.

Elliot earned some considerable playing time in a loaded Tompkins team that advanced all the way to the Championship match as a freshman and that speaks volumes about her potential. She progressed nicely throughout the season, adding a better understanding of the game to her excellent physical tools and becoming a much more productive player on both sides of the ball. I’ve watched her as recently as last weekend at the FAST Warm Up and she did great.
