About Sofia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I feel like I can read the court really quickly in certain situations, I am an awesome teammate brining my other teammates up because that’s what a good teammate does regardless the situation.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I feel like I have an amazing mentality when it comes to volleyball because I want to push myself to be better everyday. I love playing volleyball with girls who are more advanced than me so I can push myself to be at there level or rise above them.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received an honor roll reward and I have also participated in girls leadership club and National Junior Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a leader in National Junior Honor Society at school and also being a great teammate brining them up and encouraging my teammates, and I was also in girls leadership as well.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced two big challenges. Number one I have had Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis since I was nine and it has been a big thing for me but as I get older I realize that it’s okay to have something that others may not have. I have also struggled with mental health lately but playing volleyball and talking to other helps be feel better about my situation.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that I will succeed in and get the type of education I am looking for, for the future. I also want to continue playing volleyball, and find a strong group of girls that will feel like home to me. I want to continue succeed and I will always be up for a challenge.
