Jayden really shot up the rankings this last update from outside the top 100 (102) to being at number 74 this most recent update.

One of the better things Jayden does as a 5-1 setter is her ability to be an offensive threat/force at the net. Her ability to swing as a right handed setter and still put the ball down is impressive to watch. She also has the ability to hold a defense accountable with her dumps when she is backrow as well. Overall she is elite with her ability to score on offense and give her hitters the ball to score as well.

She also has the ability to block top level outside hitters as she has some vertical in her blocking along with the ability to press over the net. She is able to line up big time hitters and get a ton of touches and blocks on those girls. Most impressively besides her hitting and blocking she can run a fast tempo offense from all over the floor, routinely making great sets from tough locations on the floor.

A setter who can hit, block, and run a fast offense is tough to find. Jayden is capable of doing a lot and someone to really keep an eye on to move up in our next rankings up date again down the road.

One thing about Jayden that makes her someone to go watch is seeing her decision making in matches. She seems to always make the right choice when it comes to running her offense. She won’t just make the safe play, and actually use her court IQ to know who to get the ball too. Her hands are also very soft and her technique is flawless when it comes to hand placement. She has the ability to get perfect sets on balls that are out of system for some other setter.

As for her overall ability, she is capable of running a full 5-1 and being an asset with her offense as well. She can handle herself on defense against any team/hitter, and is always in the right position whether she is taking a hard driven shot or reading the off speed tip. Lastly she has a good serve, that can keep a team out of system with its pace and she is smart about her location with it. She is just so fundamentally sound in so many areas it really is hard to pick 1-2 good things as she does so many things well.

Overall Jayden is a great setter, who can do a lot for her team. She has a bright future in volleyball and someone you need to get out and watch as she plays this season.
