About Stella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay is defined by focus, hustle, and teamwork. I stay locked in throughout every match, keeping my effort to the max and attitude positive no matter the score. I’m a firm believer in working hard and making the mistakes during practice so I don’t make them in crucial situations. Whether I’m hitting or passing I stay composed and determined, making smart decisions to benefit my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mindset is built around the belief that my mistakes don’t define me, they’re simply new learning opportunities. No matter the score, I’m known for staying positive, encouraging those around me, and always keeping my energy up. During games, I stay determined, giving my full effort from start to finish while keeping a strong mentality that helps lift up my team, while staying competitive.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I used to be very quiet on the court, often letting my teammates take the lead in communication. Over the course of my career I’ve grown to be more confident in my voice and learned how important communication is in volleyball. Now, I’ve opened up and have become a vocal player. I’ve gone from being quiet to even over communicating, showing how much I’ve grown as both a player and a leader.
