What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
My sister is a childhood cancer survivor and my family volunteers and raises money for childhood cancer research. We have hosted a golf tournament in Kansas City for the last 9 years called Callyn's Course for Hope. My sister is 13 and plays club volleyball for KC Power.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes, my sister is four years younger than me and she was diagnosed with a rare eye cancer when she was two years old. Her cancer relapsed when she was 5 but luckily she has been cancer free for several years. Her diagnosis and our journey has been a big part of my family's life. She has had all of her treatments and care in Philadelphia and I have been there numerous times.
What type of college are you looking for?
I verbally committed to the University of Kansas on June 16, 2024.
