I’ve watched her in a tournament when she played middle. Later in the year I watched her when she hit left side. It doesn’t matter where she plays. She dominates the game from either position.
Her best position for the future lies in the left side. She is extremely athletic with a nice vertical. Zari currently lists at 5’8″ but a couple inches of growth would make her ideal for the position.
Last year she made the roster on the Colonial Forge varsity team. Colonial Forge lost only one match all season, that was a quarter final regional match to Colgan, which eliminated them from advancing to the State Bracket.

The best fit for Zari may eventually be as a pin hitter. She currently plays middle, dominating at that position because of her superior athletic skills. At 5’8″ as she begins to play against older competition, she may find it more challenging to succeed at middle playing against much taller players. Unless she sprouts a few more inches as well.
Currently at the 15 U level she can dominate at the middle, hitting the quick tempo sets as well as the higher sets. She clearly stands out as the difference maker for this 540 Volleyball Academy team.
540 Volleyball Academy will play in the American Division in Junior Nationals. Zari moved from # 47 to # 36 in our class of 2029 ranking.

At Volley by the James she stood out for her left side play but was only in for three rotations. At Shamrock Showdown she played middle dominating the court. She flies in the air so 5’8″ at this age with her jump is not an issue. It shows her versatility. And when you see her hands cross far over the net to block that is all she needs for playing middle.
540 Volleyball Academy won the 15U Shamrock Showdown. A coach who played against her was in awe of how terminal she was with her hits. With a little more growth she could become a premium player. Even with no growth she will be a player to watch.

Zari played middle for a very talented 540 Volleyball Academy team. Their only loss of the tournament came against a Canadian team in the first round of the gold bracket. That Canadian team went to the finals before losing to Maryland Juniors. 540 took them to three sets, losing the third set 15-9.
Zari played middle but her athleticism could also allow her to swing from the left side. She jumps well and puts good velocity on the ball when she hits. I did not get a chance to see much of her back row play because a libero came in for her.
Next year Zari will attend Colonial Forge. The Eagles made it to the semi-finals of the Class 6 State championship in 2023 before losing to eventual state champion Langley.
