Vital Volleyball
| Prep Dig #100
Preston may have the most explosive elevation in the class of 2021 with a 31″ vertical and near 10′ touch at just 5’8. She gets up. She is most successful when on balance to the ball and able to contact at or near the peak of her jump. This allows her to challenge the block with more success with the ability to hit higher upon the hands in front of her. She is developing good vision as well with nice touch to counter the power she provides with finesse and off speed from time to time. She is poised for a breakout senior campaign with Eden Prairie and will undoubtedly be counted upon to score a fair amount of points for her team, which she is highly capable of doing.

– 6’1 | MH/RS | HS: Pequot Lakes | Club: Synergy | Prep Dig #103
The Pequot Lakes product has continued to show her versatility on the right side and in the middle. She has good size and presence at the net to be effective on both sides of the ball. With improved footwork and consistency to pursue the ball she will be more effective with her arm in being able to maximize her lift with more momentum and balance in the latter phase of movement pattern. Her middle range includes effectiveness in front on a quick attack and overhead on a slide to the pin. She can also play defense and swing in the back row. Look for her to be a key element during the high school season this next fall.

– 6’0 | RS/MH | HS: Tartan | Club: Kokoro | Prep Dig #104
Rahmon has some great raw athleticism to her game that continues to develop fundamentally. Some of her best tools at this point include her elevation and length up and over the net. She gets off the ground quickly and has a long reach that complements her attacking and blocking movement well. With her head getting up and over the tape she creates a big presence on both sides of the ball. As she gets more comfortable with the speed and movement in the middle she could be very dangerous offensively. With improved torque and arm strength she can also increase her capabilities on the right pin. From either role, she has a foundation to be dominant defensively.

– 6’1 | MB | HS: St. Louis Park | Prep Dig #108
Coley emerged this past fall as nice complementary element to the St. Louis Park offense and defense. With skill and athletic teammates ahead of her on this list, she developed some skills that became integral to this team’s late surge to the state tournament in 2019. She is long and athletic with good quickness and lift off the floor. Also a standout basketball player, Coley’s skills crossover to the volleyball court well and make her effectively dangerous. By limiting the focus of skills to include emphasis upon blocking movement and one or two offensive options, Coley’s presence could make an even greater impact this next fall high school season as St. Louis Park should enter the season with high expectations.

– 5’11 | S | HS: Esko | Club: MN North 17-1 | Prep Dig #118
Stark has good size as a setter at 5’11. The Esko product has good hand position higher above her head. When she gets her feet to the ball and is on balance she provides touch and extension with good deception through both pins. She has continued to improve her range and accuracy through all locations across the front row that includes a variety of tempos to the pins and among the middles. With increased foot speed she will be that much better by gaining ability to get to the ball sooner while also improving her delivery through out of system opportunities. She shares setting duties on a MN North team that has some skilled attackers that benefit from the variety in their offensive options. She will be counted upon a lot as a returning veteran and the floor general for her Esko squad this fall as they look behind at a 21-6 overall record from 2019.
