Ellary Detamore, 5-9, Academy 18 Elite Rage
As the full-time libero for Academy’s flagship team, Ellary is a great example of both a physical and verbal leader that a libero needs to be. Her affability with her teammates, her work ethic, and her attitude make her an ideal plug-and-play libero, or at the very least, a three-rotation DS as a freshman next fall.
Taylor Lauri Taylor Lauri 5'8" | DS/L Hamilton Southeastern | 2021 State IN , 5-8, Circle City 18 Purple
Taylor has played multiple positions over the years, but pans out to being either a three-rotation DS at a large school or a full-time libero at a smaller school. Her experience on the left pin also makes her marketable as a front row player in a pinch. I like her ball control, I like her work ethic, and I like her attitude. Those traits seem to be common in this group.
Jordyn Pax Jordyn Pax 5'6" | DS/L Plainfield | 2021 State IN , 5-5, Circle City 18 Black
Jordyn’s tennis background make her anticipation and footwork exemplary as a defender in any position. Playing high-level volleyball and tennis also allow her to easily control anything too tough to handle for others. Her ball control, defensive pursuit and anticipation set her apart from a lot of other defenders in this class.
Mallory Ramsey Mallory Ramsey 5'6" | DS/L Silver Creek | 2021 State IN , 5-6, KIVA 18 White
Although she plays club in Kentucky, Mallory has been the libero option for Silver Creek and helped propel them to a state semifinal appearance this past fall. She stays on her feet, covers more ground that DS’s taller than her, and has played high-level club ball for years with KIVA. Her ball control is exceptional, and can play any position in the back row.
