There are eight teams remaining, a pair for each class of teams. This week's articles will focus on a hitter, a setter and a defender for each team in the finals, starting with 4A today. Enjoy!

#1 Carroll (35-1) v #5 Center Grove (34-4)

The only matchup featuring the #1 team in the class has the primetime match's best teams available. Carrol is going for the first-ever 4A three-peat in Indiana history, while Center Grove has had one of their best seasons ever this past fall. Both teams have mixtures of youth and experience that got them here, and many have already made their collegiate choices. Here are a hitter, a defender and a setter for each team that will be the ones to watch at Gainbridge on Saturday.

The Notre Dame commit has her hand in multiple different statistical categories, and has kept that consistent contribution for years for the Chargers. Just as tough at the net as she is behind the service line, Miss Stegall is THE primary attacker that will need to be slowed down by a relentless Trojan defense if CG wants to pull off the upset.

Our top recruit for the class of ‘28, Cala's commitment to Texas makes perfect sense. She's not only the best player in this class in Indiana, but has represented the United States in multiple international competitions as the libero at THAT level. If anyone has a chance of knocking off the Chargers, their task is simple—-DON'T SERVE CALA.

Capable as both a right side AND a setter for the next level, the Loyola-Chicago commit is easily the most important piece of the Charger offense. Being able to keep defenses off-balance has been her calling card all season long, and being able to balance set distribution throughout the lineup has made the Chargers offense one of the more efficient iterations in Blue and White during this epic multi-year run.

One of the strongest (if not THE strongest) attackers in the class of ‘29, Gabby hits every ball with pace and purpose, and does damage to undisciplined blocks and defenses alike. As the lead attacker since last fall (her freshman year), Miss Gilliard has added a ton of skills to her skill set, including serve receive, floor defense, a tougher-than-average serve and a deadly back row attack. With size, strength and athleticism, Gabby is easily one of the top recruits in the class of ‘29.

The heart and soul of Center Grove volleyball all four years of her career, Miss Schembra has amassed over 4000 assists in her illustrious career. The UCF commit can and will go through any obstacles to get to every second ball, regardless of where it's passed. Over time, her set location, tempo, tough serve and ability to keep plays alive due to sheer grit and determination has made her one of the most fun kids we've covered here at PrepDig—-in ANY class.

Seeing a great portion of time as the primary libero for the Trojans, the youthful Olivia has length for days and can cover a ton of ground better than a lot of liberi in Indiana. The ball control, knack for always being around the ball no matter where it's hit and an ability to control any attack or serve that comes her way proves that CG's first contact is in good hands for years to come.
