During the past two weeks, we’ve highlighted some of the young prospects who have been standing out for their play in each of the six classes that are currently active in the state of Washington.
In our final piece, we take a look at the Class 4A:
Hailey Brockway Hailey Brockway 6'0" | OH Graham-Kapowskin | 2023 State #125 Nation WA – Outside Hitter – HS: Graham-Kapowsin – Club: DaKine Warriors – 2023
A quick look at Hailey Brockway Hailey Brockway 6'0" | OH Graham-Kapowskin | 2023 State #125 Nation WA ’s stats might fool you into the idea that she has slowed down in her third year of high school volleyball, but that’s certainly not the case. While her 147 kills might look pale when compared to other top hitters in the division, the six-foot scoring machine did that in just 23 sets, averaging 6.4 per set and converting 48% on her attack attempts in points. Brockway, who recently committed to Illinois State, has also generated 49 digs for Graham-Kawposin.
Peyton Ensign – Setter – HS: Curtis – Club: DaKine Warriors – 2025
Having a freshman slot right in the starting lineup and produce at a high level is a blessing for any team and Curtis can be pleased about having found one of those, especially for the key position of setter, in Peyton Ensign. The 5’7” prospect immediately became a key player for the Vikings, having handed out 505 assists in 50 sets, averaging just north of ten per sets. She’s also an outstanding defender, having dug 110 balls already, and has fired 17 aces.
Danielle Brown – Middle Blocker – HS: Puyallup – Club: DaKine Warriors – 2024
Danielle Brown has been following up an outstanding freshman season with a great campaign as a sophomore for Puyallup. The 6’2” middle blocker has been a stud for her team, making her presence felt at the net in both phases of the game. Brown’s offense has been spot on, with 93 kills in 49 sets and a superb 46.7% kill rate, but her blocking is deservedly drawing even more attention as she registered 64 blocks already, averaging 1.3 per set.
