Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2022 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. Oklahoma’s senior class definitely left it all out on the court through some serious play. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be moved up the rankings.
Channing Apel Channing Apel 5'10" | MB Community Christian | 2022 State OK [2022] 5-10 Middle (HS: Community Christian/Club: Oklahoma Charge/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Channing has moved up the rankings. She went from being ranked as our 38th to now being ranked as the 30th best overall prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is one of the leaders for Community Christian High School and one of the best clubs in the Sooner state in OK Charge. We profiled her when she won one of our All-State awards and here is a little of what we stated, “She helped lead her varsity team to a 37-3 overall record and the 3A Oklahoma State Title. Channing is a solid middle who excels at the higher tempo sets for her high school offense. She hits the ball high, hard, and deep normally out of the thirty-one position, but she can unload on top of the ball and put it straight down when she gets the opportunity. She definitely gave a lot of herself to her team and was integral in their success this past season. She showed a lot of leadership as an upperclassman this year and this is why she has earned 2nd Team All-State.” She has had her name being discussed quite a bit in the Oklahoma volleyball circles and we have done our research on her. We are proud to announce that she has moved up the rankings. Please help us congratulate her on the achievement of being in the top 30 of the entire state of Oklahoma.
Kedron Burk Kedron Burk 6'0" | MB Home School | 2022 State OK [2022] 6-1 Middle (HS: OKC Storm/Club: Oklahoma Peak Performance/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Miss Burk has moved up the rankings. Kedron is now ranked as our 26th best overall prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays club for the awesome Oklahoma Peak Performance program and a home school team Oklahoma City Storm. We profiled her earlier in the year and here is a little bit of what we stated,“We love her height and frame that she brings to the table in the middle position. She is part of the famed ten foot club meaning she can approach touch ten feet in the air which is a metric that a lot of college coaches love. Please help us congratulate her on being one of the best volleyball players in the state. She possesses college level power with a whip of an arm swing. Her long arms allow her to be a force when it comes to shutting down opposing attackers. She approaches very tough toward her setter and gets off of the ground super fast, which a lot of coaches love from their middles at the next level. We are excited to have her in our Prep Dig Family and look forward to watching her senior season. Stay tuned because she has what it takes to move up the rankings soon. We were very impressed with what she did on the court this year against some amazing competition as her varsity squad at OKC Storm didn’t back down from big public schools. Our OK Scout Derek Jackson saw her in action and thought so highly of her that he nominated her for All-State consideration. Kedron showed us how much of a stud she is and this is why we have chosen her for our 2nd Team All-State award.” After winning an All-State award from our publication and hearing her name in the college coaching ranks, it was a no brainer to move her up the list. Please help us congratulate her on moving up the State Rankings.
Tehya Johnson Tehya Johnson 5'7" | S Charles Page | 2022 State OK [2022] 5-7 Setter (HS: Charles Page/Club: Virago/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that miss Johnson has moved up the State Rankings. Tehya is now ranked as the 35th best overall prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Sand Springs Charles Page high school and also for Virago volleyball club. We profiled her two months ago when we chose our recipients for our All-State award and here is a little refresher on what we stated,“She was able to surpass the 1,000 career assist mark this season through some awesome court play. Tehya also plays some amazing defense out of the right back position. She helped Charles Page HS stay super competitive in every match digging the line shots from opponents’ left side pin hitters. But her bread and butter are her soft hands that allow her to be very consistent on either pin whether setting with or against flow. We are proud to announce that she has earned 2nd Team All-State.” She is still dishing out great balls to her hitters at her Virago club. They have done very well so far this season and finished in second place in two straight tournaments. Her consistent setting is one huge reason why. Please help us congratulate her on moving up the State Rankings.
