Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2023 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to our prestigious State Rankings through their play on the court. Please welcome them with open arms.
Libbie Hughs Libbie Hughs 5'4" | DS/L Yukon | 2023 State OK [2023] 5-4 Libero (HS: Yukon/Club: Oklahoma Charge/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Libbie to the Prep Dig Family. We are proud to announce that she is currently ranked as the 25th best overall player in the 2023 class. Miss Hughs plays volleyball at Yukon High School and also club for Oklahoma Charge. One thing that truly stands out as I watch her patrol the back row is how dialed in she is at intently reading the play on the other side of the net so she can put herself in the best position possible. She has solid footwork and great balance both while moving and at the point of contact with the ball. Libbie will not get fooled when the setter tries to push the ball to the corner as she can see it a mile away and is a step ahead of the dump to zone one. You can tell that she is coachable and has been taught very well by the way she holds her form well after contact on each dig. We like what we see from her and you will too. She is worthy of being named one of the best volleyball players in the State of Oklahoma. Please congratulate her on the honor.
Taya McReynolds Taya McReynolds 5'10" | OH Yukon | 2023 State OK [2023] 5-10 Outside (HS: Yukon/Club: Rise/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Taya is currently ranked as the 28th best overall prospect according to our class of 2023 Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a six-rotation pin hitter for Yukon High School and also plays club for the fantastic Rise volleyball program. I was lucky enough to watch this young lady in person earlier this club season at the Redland Rendezvous tournament. She was scoring very well on the left side for her Rise squad as they were super competitive with every opponent. I stopped by her court due to what I witnessed and didn’t leave. Her play proved to me that she belonged in the conversation of being one of the best in the state. I also think that her offensive skill-set will move her up in the rankings if she continues to improve. This youngster can flat out bang! Please congratulate her on the honor as she definitely deserves the acknowledgement of being one of the best in the State of Oklahoma.
Kayleann Pope Kayleann Pope 5'9" | S Moore | 2023 State OK [2023] 5-9 Setter (HS: Moore/Club: Oklahoma Charge/Signed: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Kayleann to the Prep Dig Family. She is currently ranked as the 29th best overall prospect according to the 2023 Prep Dig State Rankings list. She plays at Moore High School and also club for Oklahoma Charge volleyball club. She is a great setter and caught our eye after watching her dish some dimes during this club season. This kid is just a fantastic athlete. She was recognized as the most improved player this past season and also qualified for State in the high jump last year for Track and Field. We think she has a lot of promise and will be watching her progress very closely. Please congratulate her on achieving the honor of being a State Ranked player.
