The culminating event for the CEVA season is the Regional tournament. All teams participating in CEVA Power League compete for their final standing of the season. For this series, we will be spotlighting athletes from teams that finished in the top 20 for the 18U/16U division who were nominated by their club coach, or a club coach from another team.

Without further ado, here are the 2025 passers that had stellar performances.
[caption id="attachment_205619" align="alignleft" width="150"] Photo: Athena VB[/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="161913" first="Addison" last="Azavedo"], 5’3”, DS, Jesuit High School, Athena Volleyball Academy 15 -1 Gold

[ Link to recruiting profile ]

Azavedo is the primary libero for the Athena 15-1 Gold team. She has made an impressive comeback this club season after suffering from an ACL tear at the end of last club season. Missing out on high school season in the fall, Azavedo was more than ready to get back out there. She anchored the team’s offense with her consistent ball control. And her tough serve led to quite a few service aces. Her coach commended her overall skill and leadership in the back row as a major contributing factor to the team’s success at Regionals.
[caption id="attachment_205620" align="alignleft" width="150"] Photo: Jenn Bowers[/caption]
Emma Comer, 5’3”, DS, Oregon City High School, Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy 16-2 Blue

[ Link to recruiting profile ]

Comer has been the primary libero for the OJVA 16-2 Blue team.
