Keller

The Indians are last year's 6A State runner up. This talented team is led by the setting of [player_tooltip player_id='87577' first='Taylor' last='Polivka'] (Miami). She has had some amazing experience from last year's awesome five set thriller in the State Championship. This junior and senior laden team have been battled tested and are ready to avenge last year's defeat. The amazing back row duo of [player_tooltip player_id='176656' first='Kea' last='Whillock'] and and [player_tooltip player_id='141123' first='Landry' last='McEachern'] may be one of the best in the state. Senior Middle [player_tooltip player_id='141125' first='Leah' last='Ford'] (USC) and Junior [player_tooltip player_id='124142' first='Anna' last='Boatner'] are two of the best middles in the state at both offense and defense. If anyone wants to do some damage against the field they will no doubt have to go through Keller first. Outside hitter Reagan Sharp is a stud on the pins as she had a breakout year last season.

Friendswood

The Mustangs are currently 16-5 overall on the young season and poised for another deep run in the playoffs this year. They have been a staple in the UIL State Playoffs and this year is no different. Sophomore outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='179894' first='Sydney' last='Gibson'] is their all around player who can do it all on the court. She leads the team in service receptions, kills, and kills per set. Senior Megan Hubbard is their main setter who leads the team in assists. Right Side Meghan Donouhough plays all the way around and helps with the setting role as well. Senior Libhero Cierra Pesak is dominant in the back row and can light up the stat book with digs and service receptions. Senior middle [player_tooltip player_id='181367' first='Kaitlyn' last='Gotsch'] is a blocking machine. She does have help from junior middle [player_tooltip player_id='124149' first='Isabella' last='Thompson'] and super soph middle [player_tooltip player_id='181381' first='Jordyn' last='Sims']. Everyone needs to watch out for freshman phenom Nadi'Ya Shelby on the pins because she has been a tough out for opponents.

NB Canyon

The Cougars are 21-3 on the year and play with passion. They are led by the setting of junior [player_tooltip player_id='142200' first='Megan' last='Hawkins']. Her hands are golden and she moves the ball around well. Senior libero Isabell Woo is amazing as a back row general and very little falls near her zone. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='141247' first='Maya' last='Jones'], [player_tooltip player_id='153293' first='Danielle' last='Classy'] and [player_tooltip player_id='122908' first='Courtney' last='Pope'] (Trinity) have been assassins at the net and killing everything that comes their way. Maya leads the team in kills and teams will have to game plan around her in order to have a shot at winning. Senior Middle Mia Dunaway has been a wall for Canyon in the middle. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='211667' first='Josslyn' last='Abel'] is an up and comer that has a chance to be really special. She is very athletic and quick along the net.
