Pope was one of the leading scorers in her SA Magic 18 Elite team, offering a reliable offensive option down the middle. She hit all sorts of different sets and was efficient with all of them, starting with a strong approach and ending with a powerful swing. Her blocking was also very effective as Pope was reading the game well, getting to the pin quickly and reacting to plays att the net in no time. She played on the right on some occasions and proved to be a solid option there too, impacting the game with her blocking.

A long and athletic middle, Pope is expected to play a big role for SA Magic 18 Elite in the 17-18 Girls division. She’s a very productive middle, who gets to impact the game on both sides of the ball with her length and skills. Pope’s blocking is as strong as anyone’s as she does a very good job of pressing above the net with her arms. She has also developed into a strong offensive player over the year, using her high contact point and her ability to hit sharp angle on both directions to score from the middle.

The senior middle blocker made a difference for Canyon as they overcame the always-tough Alamo Heights 3-1 in the area round. The 6’2″ middle was tremendously productive at the net, registering a match-high 21 kills as well as two blocks. Although it’s not her strength, Pope also got some touches on the backcourt, adding three digs and three passes.

A long and athletic middle, Pope has an excellent range in her game and provides a great net presence for the Cougars. She’s been in great form offensively this season, ranking second in kills (293), and has also been a productive blocker, with the team’s second-best mark of 58 stuffs. Pope will play for Trinity at the collegiate level.
