Its all hands on deck, and freshman are ready to carry their part of the load. The class of 2026 has several standouts doing work for their school, here are several to keep tabs on as the season barrels on through October.

The Vikings have had an early season schedule with tremendous non-league opponents. North Creek, lakeside, and Graham Kapowsin at the Crossover Classic have been tough matchups. The team is well equipped for the challenge, and freshman Eichert has been a big part of the success early on.

She can disguise a soft roll shot, attack from the pipe, and hit a hard angle when the blockers leave it open. The six rotation outside is all effort on defense, look for her to continue to gel with setter (and sister) Katelyn Eichert as the season continues.

Let’s show some love to those B-school standouts! Raymond is out to a fast start, and Kongboukhay does what a setter has to do, locate sets for her hitters. She has quick feet and solid setting fundamentals, running down passes and giving the attackers for the Seagulls a chance. When the offense is in system she is making great choices on where to go, utilizing her best players’ front and back row. Solid serving and defense round out her game.
Jasmine Terry
Jasmine Terry
Terry has been in our coverage here before, and as soon as she hit the court in high school for Rogers, showed the skills and athleticism that were visible in the club season. Quick off the floor is an understatement, this high flyer has bounce and an improving overall floor game. Against Bethel she took great swings from the right side, finding the deep corner to score, along with her usual stuff blocks. A middle mainly in the club season, for Rogers she is playing as a six rotation outside.

Tornow is teaming with older sister Audrey and the rest of her Hanford teammates to get out to a great start in the MCC. She has a good feel for attacking different spots on the court out of the middle. Against Chiawana, she turned the ball right and left around the opposing defender, finding the soft spots in the defense. Her training with Sandstorm Beach shows in her feel for the game as a young player.
Lizzy O’Connell

Another freshman middle doing excellent work for a team out to a great start, O’Connell has good timing on the block and has given the Falcon setters a viable attacking option out of the middle. Senior middle and Central Washington commit Corrine Westby has moved to the outside successfully, leaving a spot open. O’Connell stepped in, proving she was ready to go when league play started- playing well in a sweep of Gonzaga Prep on the road.
