The strong start set the tone for another strong performance from Lanier, who was solid with her passing (13 passes) all night and got some important digs among her 18, helping the team control the match without any major hiccups.

Sam-Olibale is a key piece for the Spartans and she showed it again with a tremendous two-way performance. She split the passing duties with Lanier, registering 20 passes, got 14 digs and got her offense going on set two and thrived by hitting a variety of different sets to her match total of 13 kills. The outside hitter came up big at the start of set three, getting a pair of aces and a dig that helped the Spartans stop what could have been the start of a reaction from Travis.

Travis’ top player didn’t disappoint in the most important match of the season, delivering another great performance. Williams not only scored consistently despite being closely watched by Seven Lakes’ block and defense, but also fired her teammates up with her impressive plays. She was also solid with her passing the entire time.

The athletic outside hitter came off the bench right after the start of the match and significantly improved Travis’ offense. Used on the left and the right, Buford used her great reach well to score but also showed good reading of the game to use tips. She also improved the team’s blocking with her long arms and great vertical.
