Houston Stop 1 Top 250 Expo Top Performers: DS/Liberos – Vol 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Everyone had a lot of fun at the Prep Dig Top 250 Expo in Houston on Sunday, with players, coaches and scouts all leaving the event full of excitement with the high level of play and the incredible energy seen on the courts at TAV Houston.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The event, however, didn't end on Sunday as we've been taking the time to recognize and give a shoutout to the players who impressed the most with their skills. She was very efficient and reliable with her passing, got some impressive digs and displayed that hard-working attitude everyone loves to see in a libero. She has always been great from a technical standpoint but now seems more confident in her game and comfortable enough to really step up and lead her team from the backcourt. She's very dynamic and quick in her movement toward the ball, which makes her have great success when chasing tips or roll shots. Also capable of playing as a setter, she's extremely technical and has only gotten better with her positioning. She has good size and length and played a big role as an outside hitter for Cy-Fair during the last high school season, but will be on the backcourt with her club TAV, where she can make the most of her strong defensive game. Smith is great at reading plays and anticipating moves and always seems to be one step ahead of everyone else.
