We love it when players grab our attention and we want to highlight it. Below we will highlight some impressive new faces who caught our attention on our first stop in Houston.

[player_tooltip player_id='254038' first='Gwenyth' last='Koss'] / Freshman / [program_tooltip program_id='431166' first='Houston' last='Juniors']

[player_tooltip player_id='254038' first='Gwenyth' last='Koss'] looked comfortable and competitive on the court Sunday. She jumped right on the court for drills and competitions and did not shy away from the ball. She made some great defensive plays as well. The freshman outside hitter matched up well against the upperclassmen. She got some solid swings and attacked the opposing block.

[player_tooltip player_id='178566' first='Kennedy' last='Schramm'] / Sophomore / Woodlands Revolution

[player_tooltip player_id='178566' first='Kennedy' last='Schramm'] put on a defensive performance for us. The sophomore libero was fantastic all day in defense in serve receive. Her go-get-it attitude and unstoppable grit make her stand out on her court. She will be a force to be reckoned with this club season.

[player_tooltip player_id='254303' first='Sophie' last='Corbeil'] / Junior / Katy United

Junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='254303' first='Sophie' last='Corbeil'] had a great showing on court 3. She has a powerful swing that you can hear when she contacts the ball. She showed a variety of swings as she attacked the line and cross shots. She was an excellent blocker as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='246323' first='Kristina' last='Cote'] / Junior / Texas Legacy

[player_tooltip player_id='246323' first='Kristina' last='Cote'] definitely caught my attention at the end of the day for her aggressive outside swings. The 5'11 junior outside hitter definitely used her size to her advantage but she has a great verticle as well. Not only did she hit well but she can pass and play defense too.

[player_tooltip player_id='254297' first='Sariah' last='Johnson'] / Junior / [program_tooltip program_id='431337' first='Texas' last='Tornados']

High flying outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='254297' first='Sariah' last='Johnson'] immediately caught our attention after she flew into a set right off the bat Sunday morning. Everyone on court 4 was talking about her verticle. She was a great communicator and always asked for the ball. She even hopped into the middle back position to pass and hit a hammer of a back-row attack.

[player_tooltip player_id='178811' first='Kristen' last='Kuehn'] / Junior / TAV Houston

[player_tooltip player_id='178811' first='Kristen' last='Kuehn'] had everyone talking about her defensive abilities. Her dive through the ball was amazing to watch and looked effortless. She was the first to hop on for the defensive hustle ball drill and definitely stood out there. She had so many one-handed saves, pancakes, and dives that we lost count by the end of the session.

[player_tooltip player_id='202625' first='Kennedi' last='Walker'] / Junior / AVA

Junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='202625' first='Kennedi' last='Walker'] from Elkins High School really made a name for herself. While I wasn't familiar with her before the event, I definitely am now after watching her perform well on her court. She had excellent ball placement and good tempo sets. Her hitters were very successful on her court and she had a great jump serve.
