The massive event will feature 17 divisions and as many as 414 teams, which will compete in six different venues around the city. There will be some real talent in action in those teams and we’ll take the week to present some of the names that have what it takes to stand out during the ATX Showcase.
These are some of the most promising middles:
Carr emerged as somewhat of a hidden gem as of late. She had to sit out the entire high school season, but started club on fire, making a huge impression in our Prep Dig Top 250 Expo in Houston. She has been able to maintain a solid level of play since then and has established herself as one of the most intriguing freshmen middles in the area. Although there’s still a lot of room for improvement in her game, Carr is already very impactful with her blocking, combining her excellent athleticism with very good hand positioning. She’s also making great strides with her offense and becoming a reliable scoring option. She will be with TAV Houston 15 Adidas in the 15 Open division.

Selected for our Prep Dig Class of 2025 1st Team All-State after a tremendous high school season with Lago Vista, Robinson is using her talent to help Austin Skyline 16 Royal, which will be playing in the 16 Open division. The most impressive thing about her game is probably how complete and ready to make an impact she is. Robinson is a phenomenal offensive player, who can carry any team’s scoring efforts, but also has excellent production with her blocking. She was asked to play a big role with Lago Vista in the last high school, even taking on passing duties on a few rotations, and responded incredibly well.

Euston played an important role in the Dripping Springs campaign that led her high school team to a state title just a few months ago. The dynamic middle is now a key part of the Austin Performance 16 Adidas team that will be in action in the 16 Open division. Euston plays with tremendous intensity and gives her absolute maximum effort in every play. She’s a tenacious blocker, who uses her length well and has excellent timing, getting off the floor very quickly to stop swings. Her offense is also solid as Euston has great footwork and can hit the ball in any direction with power.
Brown is probably one of the fastest-rising middles in the state of Texas and that explains the fact that, despite playing one age group up with Impact 171 in the 17 Open division, she will still be the team’s top player. Brown checks every box when you think of an elite blocker as she’s tall, physically strong, very quick and intelligent. Her footwork is excellent and helps her in a strong way on both sides of the ball. Brown is really hard to stop on offense because of her high contact point and her firepower and is also a tremendous blocker, who moves quickly around the net and is very aggressive with her hands.

A very complete player, Johnson will play a pivotal role for SA Magic 18 Elite in the 18 Open division. Very long and athletic, she is a very efficient offensive player and her team benefits from her versatility, setting her in the middle, the left and the right. Johnson has a very contact point and is very smart with her shot selection, always avoiding opposing blockers. She’s also a very good blocker, who uses her length and good reading of the game to make an impact at the net.
