Club Team Close-Up: PowerPlex 17-1

Since then, the season tipped off.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'll make it out to some events through the season and will be at regionals, but wanted to continue highlighting some teams in conjunction with in-person evaluations.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let's take a look at PowerPlex 17-1 today:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='203590' first='Hadley' last='Hardersen'], '25, S, Des Moines Christian - </strong>Hardersen helped the Lions reach the state tournament semifinals as a sophomore in '22. She handed out an impressive 600 assists, 280 digs, 55.0 blocks, 73 aces and 279 kills. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Katey Lockyear, '24, S, Waukee Northwest - </strong>The junior served as the Wolves' engine in '22 when she delivered 751 assists and 200 digs. She also chipped in with 24 aces and 32 kills. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='251674' first='Chloe' last='Jones'], '24, OH, Waukee Northwest - </strong>Jones pounded 253 kills in '22 to go with 465 digs and 31.0 blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='168188' first='Josie' last='Pundt'], '24, OH, Johnston - </strong>Pundt put down 266 kills for the Dragons this past season. She also contributed 175 digs, 25.0 blocks and 20 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Chloee Hayes, '24, OH, Waukee Northwest - </strong>Hayes helped the Wolves reach the state tournament with 203 kills, 113 digs, 80.0 blocks and 16 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='168187' first='Ava' last='Helming'], '24, OH/RS, Johnston - </strong>Helming led the Dragons with 346 kills in '22. She added 185 digs, 30.0 blocks and 81 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Meredith Moody, '23, DS, Gilbert - </strong>As a senior in '22, Moody produced 231 digs for the Tigers. She also came up with 16 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='261068' first='Finley' last='Schelhaas'], '24, L/DS, Des Moines Christian - </strong>Schelhaas collected 412 digs of the Lions in the Fall. She added 52 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='251675' first='Kamryn' last='Vogt'], '24, MB, Waukee Northwest - </strong>Another key piece for the Wolves in the Fall, Vogt registered 225 kills, 88.0 blocks and 36 digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Katrina Pelds, '24, OH, Waukee Northwest - </strong>Pelds racked up 235 kills along with 158 digs and 25.0 blocks in '22.
