Texas club teams are no exceptions, as they are flying all across the nation to play in those events and book their tickets to Chicago from June 28-July6.
This coming weekend will present several opportunities with National Qualifiers taking place in different locations and one of them is the Big South Qualifier, a 24-division event that will take place in Atlanta from Friday to Sunday.
Some Texas teams will make the trip East and we’re previewing the tournament by featuring some of the players who can have big roles for their clubs. Keep an eye out for these outside hitters:
One of the most exciting players to emerge in the state of Texas in the class of 2026, Pavliska will be leading Alamo 15 Premier in the 15 Open division. A very complete player, she also plays beach volleyball and has all the tools to remain among the best in her age group for the remainder of her high school/club career. Pavliska is incredibly explosive on offense, making a strong approach, jumping with a lot of traction and swinging really hard. One of of the keys to her strong offense is how well she times her approach, which grants her full power in every single swing regardless of the situation. She’s also a very good defensive player, making good reads and moving well from her middle back position.
Highlights
Another strong offensive player from the class of 2026, Coy is an offensive force with the Houston Skyline 15 Black team that will get on the court in the 15 USA division. She had good displays of her tremendous offensive potential early in the last high school season and made excellent progress over the next few months, adding a handful of offensive tools to her strong physical game. Her development continues at full pace during the club season as she established herself as a key player in her team because of her ability to score in a variety of ways.
Monson will be the go-to scoring option for her SA Force 161 Darkside team that will appear in the 16 USA division. Although her offense is what draws the most attention to her game, Monson is a very complete player, who also has great efficiency with her passing and defense. She’s very comfortable with passing and hitting a quick set at the pin right afterward but is also fairly efficient when out of system. The pin hitter is also very disciplined on defense and gets several digs from her middle back position.
Highlights
The second best-ranked player in our 2025 Prep Dig State Rankings, Fitch will be with Alamo 16 Premier in the 16 Open division. A pin hitter with incredible offensive range, she has excellent size and firepower, but, most importantly, a very high volleybal IQ, which allows her to use her tools in the best possible way. It’s fairly common to see young pin hitters who are excellent in system, but can’t score when not in ideal conditions, but that’s not the case with Fitch, who has a very quick arm and thrives by finding gaps in the block.
A class of 2025 talent, Coleman is playing one age group up this season and will be a part of Houston Skyline 17 Royal’s squad in the 17 Open division in Atlanta. Her tremendous vertical and endless hangtime make of her a threat to score against anyone and from anywhere on the court, but Coleman has clearly been taking the time to improve other areas of her game. Her volleyball IQ and her shot selection continue to get better as she also seems more comfortable than ever on the backcourt.
