One thing to keep in mind about rankings in the 15’s year is that there is A LOT of time and there will be a lot of movement in this list over time. These rankings are compiled after talking with multiple club directors, coaches, and high school coaches as well as other scouts. We’ve seen them live and video highlights but we can’t wait to see how they continue to develop and grow in the sport of volleyball. It’s an exciting time for the class of 2026.
West caught my eye at the Show Me Qualifier in Kansas City. She was there for everything and took charge and covered a large majority of the court. West takes care of the 1st contact for her hitters and you can tell they know she will take it and trust her to make the best 1st contact for them.
Highlights
Paetzel identifies the path of the set and knows when to speed up her approach. She knows how to speed up her armswing to get the ball through the block as well.
Johnson has this great hang time in the air where she can get the block to go up with her and then wait them out. She then pulls the trigger and swings as the block is on their way down and she ends up going over the block. At first I thought it might be luck but then, she did it over and over again.
Highlights
Budzius is little but she is explosive. She has really fast footwork, moves quickly laterally and to the ball. Budzius also finds a way to work around the block or uses the edges if blockers aren’t careful.
Klein is a steady and consistent point scorer. She isn’t super flashy but she has plenty of shots in her arsenal. Klein can use the blocker’s hands or go for a deep corner for an almost guaranteed point.
Ogdahl is a versatile player that can really play anywhere along the net. She can run a number of different tempos as well as a slide approach. Ogdahl has great ball control and is a really effective attacker.
