Washington players traveled with six teams to battle it out in the 15’s Age Bracket, including Athena and OJVA from the CE Region. We detailed setters and middles earlier this week, and with the tournament upon us here are the pin attackers from Washington to keep an eye on.
Sophia Gourley
Sophia Gourley
The soon-to-be freshman brings the heat from the outside, and is steady and strong in serve receive. Gourley likes to tool the block, swinging high and hard to terminate points, with her 6’0″ length giving her a high contact point. She has played tremendously all season long for her Athena 15 Gold squad, the team will be counting on her as they compete in the 15 American Division this week.
The steady and consistent Johnson has been racking up points for her Oly Reign 15 team this season. They will be battling in the tough 15 USA Division this week and will need Johnson’s low error, and accurate swings to score against high-quality opponents. Her accurate passing and tough defense in the middle back help set up the Oly Reign offense, she focuses on keeping her first ball contacts at just the right temp for her setter. Look for Johnson to take advantage of teams that don’t block the line, she has the confidence to take the tough swing.
A rising sophomore who was the only freshman on her Hazen High School team this past fall, May-Kelley is a scoring threat on the outside for her SIVBC Typhoon team. She has a heavy arm, her swings ricochet off and through the block to find the floor. Her ability to adjust to sets is just as impressive, she is not willing to give up easy points with mistakes, a quality her setters on SIVBC must appreciate.
Maddy Osborn
Maddy Osborn
An undersized attacker with great ball control who knows how to score, Osborn has the vertical to get up on the pin and terminate for her Puyallup Juniors team. The White River High School 2026 prospect plays big for her size as an attacker, and is versatile enough to set and play outstanding defense. PJVBC 15 National plays in the Freedom Division this week, Osborn will be a big part of the team’s success as a six-rotation player.
Conner has tremendous length and a high-level feel for the game. She has an overall floor game that is fundamentally sound, her tremendous amount of touches as a beach athlete show in her ball control and reads when she plays defense. Her pipe attack is strong, she moves the ball around to avoid the big blocker that rises in the middle. Conner can score from the pin using a power game with a high contact point, and she has a variety of roll shots and tips in her toolbox as well.
Morales is a fast rising 2026 prospect with tremendous size at 6’1″, and the skill and athleticism to get on the serious radar of college programs. Effective from both pins, she is swinging right over the top of blockers to score. Morales will float in effortlessly and drop a heavy power tip on the unsuspecting block to keep the defense honest. It’s a tremendous and hard-to-stop off-speed shot that compliments her power game perfectly. Dakine 15-1 Surf is playing in the National Division at Nationals, Morales and Addison Conner Addison Conner 6’1″ | OH North Thurston | 2026 State WA will need to produce from the outside.
