Washington players traveled with six teams to battle it out in the 15’s Age Bracket, including Athena and OJVA from the CE Region. Here is a closer look at several setters that will play a critical role in their team’s success at nationals.
Humphrey is one of the top setter/opposite combos in the Washington 2026 class. More important is her ability to motivate her team and make her teammate’s better. She thinks through the game and has a knack for making the big play when her team needs it. As an attacker and setter, her quick feet and excellent athletic ability let her get into a great position and make strong moves all over the court at both positions.
Daily showed she can run a high-powered 5-1 attack at the ECC, making several plays above the net as a front-row setter. She ran down balls and feathered up soft sets with good locations to her outside, letting Sudden Impact maximize its potent attackers. Daily plays bigger than her listed height and her confidence in her floor game is apparent.
Highlights
Fischer is an excellent, tough server, and plays defense at a high level from the setter spot. Her serve has pace and location, Fischer drives it over hard enough that she will often get the roll when she hits the tape. Her defense is something Fischer takes pride in, she does not release too early and has a great read for opponents dropping in a dump or off-speed tip. Fischer can take a ball with her platform running full out and deliver a set that her attackers can work with.

Bellerive is a 5’6 rising sophomore from Emerald Ridge. She is surprisingly strong and will fling the ball from pin to pin with ease to keep opponents off balance. She has no problem playing gritty defense, flying to the floor to dig a ball. While she is versatile and can defend and swing, her strong and accurate hands are Bellerive’s calling card. She is a dynamic, athletic prospect who should play a major role at nationals and next season for Emerald Ridge.
Highlights
Haley Dumont
Haley Dumont
Dumont is a talented setter with great location and clean hands. She allows Dakine to run Humphrey as an attacker off the right side when the offense needs an extra punch, and the Surf 15 team does not lose it’s effectiveness when Dumont is running the show. The Enumclaw prospect has a good fell for setting the rangy middles for her team, Dumont keeps the set high and just off the net enough to let her middles work around the block.
