Bellerive has been playing lights out as a setter for her Puyallup Juniors team, she is making great decisions finding her attackers and is confident in moving the ball around. It’s possible she may find setter as her ultimate position, if not, she is a dynamite defender who would fit as a high level libero/ds. Having her on the court as a setter just gives PJVBC more defense, she has super foot speed and runs down tips and second balls easily.

Bellerive is a setter as well and will even take a swing when it’s needed. At the setter spot, she is always playing defense first, and when she has the libero jersey on she shines extra bright. Her quick feet and fast reactions can keep the ball off the floor, and she has setter skills when she steps into passing the second ball as a libero. The 5’6″ sophomore may have to play multiple positions for Emerald Ridge this fall, Bellerive will rack up numbers defensively no matter where she is at on the court.

Bellerive is a 5’6 rising sophomore from Emerald Ridge. She is surprisingly strong and will fling the ball from pin to pin with ease to keep opponents off balance. She has no problem playing gritty defense, flying to the floor to dig a ball. While she is versatile and can defend and swing, her strong and accurate hands are Bellerive’s calling card. She is a dynamic, athletic prospect who should play a major role at nationals and next season for Emerald Ridge.

Bellerive and her Puyallup Juniors squad dropped a three-set battle to Oly Reign in the semi-finals. The freshman from Emerald Ridge moves extremely well on the court, and plays sound defense from the setter spot or as a libero. Bellerive will reverse the flow of the offense with a well located back set, and was really pushing tempo to her outside attackers.

Watching Bellrieve work against a solid NPJ 16 National team, she showed one of her greatest strengths- set location. She has excellent fundamentals, squaring up to the net and staying balanced, she has an easy, repeatable setting motion. That accuracy is there on the run as well, she can use her platform on the move and deliver balls to the pin that her attackers can score with. Bellerive handled tough shots and tips, taking hard shots overhand and reading off-speed attempts well.
