We’ve explored a lot of different position groups in the wake of the Nebraska Stock Up Showcase, but we haven’t addressed the setters yet. That changes now, as we have so many rising stars to discuss from this group. Not only did Sunday’s event showcase some impressive talent, but these setters can fill a variety of niches within a team and exhibit some of their own unique strengths. Exciting post-event features come from this kind of assortment.
So, it’s about time we introduce you to some of the athletes who helped set up success at the Nebraska Stock Up Showcase.
Diller-Odell knows all about talented setters. Hennerberg is now in that conversation after she has helped keep up that title-winning standard that the Griffins are accustomed to. Her presence with Nebraska ONE cannot be overlooked, either, and momentum seems to be peaking as Hennerberg looks forward to one more prep outing.
It was a joy to document Donovan’s ascent during the 2023 club season. She was an unquestioned leader for Nebraska ONE 16 Black and found a way to make everyone around her better. Even when Donovan is paired up with unfamiliar teammates in a showcase environment, she can still produce those same results.
Feeney has been on our 2025 radar for a while. She has established herself as one of Nebraska best small-town setters and has piloted Adams Central to multiple state tournament appearances. Feeney brings the same skill and intensity to South Central NE, a club that has begun to reach new heights in 2023.

Premier Nebraska sent is share of setters to the Stock Up Showcase. Hill has been a prior participant at these events and kept climbing with another impressive outing. She’ll look to play a pivotal role on Millard North’s squad this fall after finding plenty of success on the club side with Premier 16 Red.
Johnson is a perfect fit for the kind of all-around athlete that Lincoln East likes to deploy. She runs a smooth offense but can bring some frontcourt attacking prowess on the right pin, too. Those qualities were apparent when Johnson competed with Nebraska Juniors this spring. Now, this setter becomes an upperclassman and will hope to keep Lincoln East atop the Class A leaderboard.

Nebraska Elite gets on the board with Bartholet representing 15 Prime. Aggressiveness is a calling card of Barholet’s approach to the setter position. She’s not afraid to use some set-over attacks to keep scoring even when she’s rotated into the backcourt. The hitters around her shine, too, as Bartholet consistent deliveries are a catalyst for success.
Bodnar is one of two Premier 15 Silver setters who will appear on this feature. The Omaha Duchesne prep athlete earned playing time in her debut season last fall, setting the stage for an impressive 15s season with Premier Nebraska. Bodnar’s willingness to lock down the end line like a defensive specialist makes her stand out among the rest. Keep this skill in mind heading into the upcoming fall season.

Lincoln Southwest is building quite a crew of setters in the 2026 class. Hazzard is one we need to keep an eye on moving forward after she demonstrated some impressive finesse at the Stock Up Showcase. Club venues have also been a great place to see Hazzard’s all-around skills with VCN. She can run an offense that features a variety of tempos and will also play outstanding Zone 1 floor defense.

Pearson’s climb up the 2026 leaderboard has been well documented. She engineered VCN 15 Black’s bid-earning triumph and distributed with the kind of maturity you would not expect at the 15s level. Whatever her future holds on the high school side with Lincoln Southwest, we’re expecting Pearson to make the most of her reps.

Good luck trying to anticipate what position Perdew might play from one match to the next. We first saw her rise to the forefront as an outside hitter for Nebraska Christian at the state championships. But Perdew also has a deep setting repertoire that we were able to watch in the South Central NE gym this spring. That versatility emerged on club volleyball’s biggest stage as Perdew helped her team to a podium finish in Chicago.
Events like the Stock Up Showcase are a perfect opportunity to see the growth of up-and-coming players like Rauner. She is fresh off a breakout club campaign with Premier 15 Silver and brought that energy right into last weekend’s event. Rauner is physical enough to run a one-setter offense and not give up any blocking strength along the net.
Let’s stay on that run of Premier Nebraska setters. Stevens was an indispensable part of Premier 15 Red’s run to GJNC and had another strong showing in Chicago. Her infectious energy offered a constant boost to 15 Red, and Stevens can still bring that leadership to showcases, too. Positional depth is a serious advantage for Premier Nebraska in the Class of 2026.

Wattier has seemingly done a little bit of everything in her prep career, and she still has so much time left to keep developing. She was a major contributor to Norfolk Catholic’s runner-up effort in Class D1 last season. Wattier’s tenure with the Knights showed that she can set and hit in a do-everything role. That same storyline has materialized with Nebraska Juniors, and Wattier’s range emerged yet again at last weekend’s showcase.
