2024 Non-Commit All Star Team
In this article:
There still exists a very talented group from the class of 2024 who have yet to commit. Below is an All Star team from that group. Not all players have an interest in pursuing playing volleyball in college. One high school player I know who won conference player of the year had a number of offers,, but preferred to go to a larger local college rather than going out of state. Once there she decided on playing club volleyball, where the demand on your time isn’t as great. It is also possible I missed catching a commitment or two.

Another Scrimmage Report
Highlights
I got an opportunity to get another scrimmage in – Madison at Heritage. Madison did not have their rosters up yet so I had to rely on my ability to recognize the player. Below are some of the players who impressed.
Annabelle Kim Annabelle Kim 5'8" | S Heritage | 2027 State VA (Heritage) – The frosh sprained her ankle early in the first game so did not get a lot of opportunity to play. When she did get to play she showed varsity level skills. She brings nice hands to her sets while showing a consistency in location. This allows the hitters to feed on the tempo she creates.
Calla Petz Calla Petz 5'9" | OH Heritage | 2024 State VA (Heritage)- The left side hitter played all six rotations. She showed the ability to hit from the back row, bringing good velocity to the ball. Her serving contributed to at least two aces in the two matches I watched.
Emily Kolas Emily Kolas 5'3" | DS/L Heritage | 2026 State VA (Heritage) – The sophomore showed good defense and passing. Despite her youth she remained calm and focused on the court. Definitely a libero to watch.
Kasey Holland (Heritage) – Kasey was forced to set a 5/1 after the injury to Annabelle. She swings lefthanded and contributed to the right side offensively when not setting.
Laila Chadwick Laila Chadwick 5'8" | DS/L James Madison | 2027 State VA (Madison) – At 5’8″ she plays up for the Metro 15 team suiting up for the libero position. For the Warhawks the frosh stands as their big offensive weapon from the left side. She puts some nasty velocity on the ball creating tough digs for the defense. Laila ranked number 4 in our class of 2027. She will be a difference maker generating the offense for Madison.
Chloe Barth Chloe Barth 5'9" | RS James Madison | 2027 State VA (Madison) – The other frosh for the Warhawks played right side. She has a quick arm swing that can also put some zip on the ball, but still needs a little more consistency with her location. Chloe ranked number 23 in our class of 2027.
Sydney Pham Sydney Pham 5'3" | DS/L Madison | 2024 State VA (Madison) – She made our all star team of noncommitted players listed above. The libero is quick on defense with the ability to get to a ball before it hits the floor. She also passes well. A steady presence on the court who will provide veteran leadership.
Madison carries two strong middles in Camille Pomeroy Camille Pomeroy 6'2" | MB Madison | 2024 State VA and Riley Lynch Riley Lynch 6'0" | MB James Madison | 2025 State VA . They both stand over 6’0″, mixing in quicks with the higher sets.
