'27s Making a Statement this High School Season

<p>The class of 2027 is already making its mark on high school volleyball in Wisconsin! It is incredible to see, and I cannot wait to see them continue to shine throughout this season. These freshmen started the volleyball season before even starting school and have been dominating on the court. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='459898' first='Aubrey' last='Frey'] - Outside Hitter - Luxemburg-Casco</h2>   <p>Aubrey has been nothing less than amazing so far this high school season. Her stats surpass those of athletes years older than her, and she has exploded onto the scene for a very strong Luxemburg-Casco program. She is athletic, dynamic, and powerful. Aubrey is an athlete with near-infinite potential who is well on her way to a great high school career. She already has 159 kills, 19 aces, 10 blocks, 127 digs, and 329 service receptions. What is so amazing is she does not make a lot of errors. Keep an eye on Aubrey!</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='388454' first='Paige' last='Proefrock'] - Outside Hitter - Grafton </h2>   <p>Paige is among the most well-rounded athletes I have seen as an incoming freshman. She has great ball control and balances it with huge power and impeccable decision-making skills. As a freshman, Paige is more targeted on serve receive, but she has responded with over 200 service receptions and only 22 errors. She is very consistent and lethal in her pass to attack. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Helena Otto - Libero - Wauwatosa East</h2>   <p>Helena is insanely scrappy. She can pop up, dig, or get a touch on nearly any ball that comes her way. She is fearless on the court and will throw herself around to keep balls alive. Helena gets a lot of touches on defense and serve receive and her range takes up a lot of space on the court. She has nearly 150 digs already this season and shows no signs of slowing down. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='724547' first='Lily' last='Metropulos'] - Setter - Wittenberg-Birnamwood</h2>   <p>Lily has the potential to be a high-level 6-rotation setter. She plays as a setter and right side for Wittenberg-Birnamwood as a freshman and already has 138 assists. She is scrappy on defense, smart and controlled with her sets, and makes good decisions. Her fundamentals are sound, and she is already making an impact at the high school level. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='509343' first='Taylor' last='Wold'] - Setter - Arrowhead</h2>   <p>Taylor has not missed a beat stepping in as a setter in one of the top Division 1 programs in the state. She is fast, smart, and precise. Taylor is very consistent and can run down nearly any ball, and is confident on the court. You would never know this is her first season at the high school level. Taylor already has 130 assists this season, and that number will only continue to grow. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Payton Scrifes - Setter - Westosha Central </h2>   <p>Payton is running a 5-1 for Central and already has over 300 assists this season. She has a high, clean touch on the ball and is very hard to read. Payton is sneaky with her tips and earns points in key moments with the dump. Her quick sets and smart decisions set her team up for success on offense time and time again. She is a very talented player with a lot of potential. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='435889' first='Gigi' last='Chasco'] - Middle - Wisconsin Lutheran</h2>   <p>Gigi is an impact player and go-to hitter for Wisconsin Lutheran. She is always engaged and ready to hit and mixes up her shots well. On one play, she will tool the block; the next, she will sink a ball deep in the court. Gigi is consistent and has huge momentum plays. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='435897' first='Lucy' last='Ripley'] - Middle - Oconto Falls</h2>   <p>Lucy plays with the power and strategy of an athlete years older than her. She is a powerhouse middle who is fearless and aggressive with her swings. She paints the line with her angle shots and mixes up her swings with every contact. Lucy also contributes massively on defense.
