This series will be highlighting a few of them as everyone marches through their district schedule. Let's take a closer look at who is standing out for these teams on the rise.

Grand Oaks Grizzlies

Can anyone stop this team from dominating the 6A division? Since they became a high school a few years back, they have been in the thick of the playoff hunt and this year is no exception. They have one of the most talented rosters in the entire state and have only dropped one match all year long and that was in the Volleypalooza tournament to Prestonwood Christian who is led by Dallas area club players including All-World [player_tooltip player_id='181296' first='Macaria' last='Spears']. The Grizzlies have a few well-known and nationally ranked players themselves in [player_tooltip player_id='124153' first='Jaela' last='Auguste'], [player_tooltip player_id='180175' first='Samara' last='Coleman'], [player_tooltip player_id='318128' first='Halle' last='Thompson']. The three-headed monster has been unstoppable on offense all season long. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='230789' first='Caelyn' last='Emmerling'] has also gotten into the mix and is third in the team in kills from the right side. This kind of balanced attack is almost unfair to any opposing defense. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='216523' first='Audrey' last='Terry'] has been the main catalyst that is dishing the rock to these wonderful hitters. She is no stranger to playing at a high level and they will rely on her senior leadership to keep the offense flowing. Super sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='235997' first='Cali' last='Reece'] has really stepped up this season and is leading the team in digs. Her ball control will steady the ship and keep them in system for sure. Not sure anyone will challenge them in district and as long as they stay healthy, they should be in for a long run at a UIL Championship this season. Head Coach Morgan Rogers will have them ready for sure.

Dripping Springs Tigers

Can anyone dethrone the defending UIL 6A State Champs? Their 33-2 overall record says that they are showing no signs of stopping another significant run to the title again this year. Their roster is littered with future college talent all across the board. It all starts with super sophomore phenom [player_tooltip player_id='318127' first='Henley' last='Anderson'] on the pins. She is nationally ranked and almost unstoppable. [player_tooltip player_id='179891' first='Riley' last='Certain'] is right behind her in kills and has played against open level club talent for the past few years. Her leadership is key to their season's success. Junior Middle [player_tooltip player_id='314733' first='Ashley' last='Euston'] has been phenomenal on both the offensive and defensive end for the Tigers. Senior Presley Alford and Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='318138' first='Sydney' last='Lund'] run a solid 6-2 offense that moves the ball around well. Senior libero [player_tooltip player_id='197077' first='Ella' last='Kuhn'] has been masterful leading the Tigers in digs this season. She is helping in serve receive also by passing nails to her setters. It would be very difficult to count out Dripping Springs because of not only their track record of success, but the fact that they will be battle tested in one of the toughest districts in the state.

Byron Nelson Bobcats

The district 4-6A bobcats are putting everyone on notice right now that they belong in the discussion of powerhouses to watch out for this season. Their insane dynamic duo of outside hitters, [player_tooltip player_id='253981' first='Ashlyn' last='Seay'] and [player_tooltip player_id='180462' first='Sydnee' last='Peterson'] are not only leading the team in kills, but are doing it at a very efficient clip. That is the scary part of this team's secret. They are scoring so efficiently and effectively against everyone on their schedule. Senior Anna Koster and Freshman Sophee Peterson have an uncanny partnership as they run the 6-2 offense of the Bobcats. The freshman phenom is keeping pace with her senior counterpart and the offense does not skip a beat when they sub in the match. Junior libero Emily Housknecht is doing a fantastic job digging and passing for her squad. She ahs excellent defensive range due to her height and length in her arms and legs. Stud sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='525231' first='Morgan' last='Inemer'] is also making her presence felt in the stat book by providing an awesome power punch on the pins. She is a lengthy point scorer for Byron Nelson. Don't forget about [player_tooltip player_id='320954' first='Kylie' last='Kleckner'] and her production on the offensive end also. She is a young force to be reckoned with and will be tough to defend for years to come.
