It doesn't matter what level you play at when you think about the fact that NCAA research shows that only four percent of high school volleyball players play in college. Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.

[player_tooltip player_id='448016' first='Ryann' last='Vik'] [2024] 6-1 Middle (HS: Pearce/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: University of North Texas)

Ryann is currently ranked as the 73rd best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at JJ Pearce High School and also plays club for the Dallas Skyline volleyball program. Miss Vik truly stepped up last year on the national stage and made a solid name for herself during her 17's club season. She played so well that she shot up our prestigious State Rankings List when she was first introduced. When I watched her play multiple times last season I was really impressed with how well she made herself available during the quick offensive game plan of her squad. Defensively she put up a solid block and was able to close really well laterally against some fast paced offenses. We are proud to announce that she has decided to play volleyball at the University of North Texas. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='179888' first='Kassidy' last='O'Brien'] [2025] 5-10 Setter (HS: Cinco Ranch/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: University of Kentucky)

Kassidy is currently ranked as the 11th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Cinco Ranch High School and club for the Houston Skyline volleyball program. Miss O'Brien has been one of the best setters in her age group for the past few years. She has that “it” factor when she is on the court and shows amazing leadership while she navigates the game plan of her coaching staff. There is no stage that is too big for Kass as she has not only faced the top competition across the country for the past few years, but she has BEAT them as well. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at the University of Kentucky. There is not a doubt in my mind that she will acclimate very well to the collegiate level from the moment she steps on campus. We will all be watching her on television soon. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.

Payton Tompkins [2024] 5-11 Outside (HS: Lake Highlands/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: University of Colorado at Colorado Springs)

Payton is currently an unranked prospect in the state according to the 2024 Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Lake Highlands High School and plays club for the Dallas Skyline volleyball program. Miss Tompkins has really stepped up her game recently and been a dominant force on the pins. This year she has already racked up 265 kills for her varsity squad, which has helped them stay very competitive in their district. I love how she uses some awesome timing and swing blocking techniques in order to battle opposing attackers at the net. Her awesome form helps her press and stop would-be point scorers. Payton also shows awesome timing in her attacks in order to score from the left side. She is able to hit well down the line, which is hard for a defense to stop. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
